  1. I got Win 10 Pro on my custom order ThinkPad. Win 10 Home is heavy handed on The Updates.

The Windows 1809 mess and the April 2019 mess make it plain that The Windows Insider program does not do the job of providing stable updates.

I use 10 Pro to set updates back 30 days so that updates will be stable-like they should be!

For the biannual updates, I make a bootable USB and let it run overnight.

I use my Win 10 laptop for work and cannot have Windows Update interrupt me.

  2. You can buy a coa on ebay usually with a download link for an iso file of Win10. But use it immediately in case the guy who sold it to you decides to resell it . Or you can just install win10 and turn off the water mark in the registry.

  3. Windows 10 Home vs Pro: blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,

  4. I think I commented on this video way back then but Windows 10 Home does have bitlocker encryption now. Go to settings, update and security, bottom of left panel device encryption, it's on by default of course, and than it has bitlocker settings under it, which you can use for a bitlocker recovery key incase some kind of major problem happens and the computer locks down. There's also services, type services in cortana, than look for BitLocker Drive Encryption, double click on it. Default startup type is manual in the window that appears. To install and dual boot linux make sure to turn off (disabled) the startup type or the boot loader F12 at startup won't recognize a CD, DVD, or USB thumb drive. After Linux install, go back to Windows and go back to services, BitLocker Drive Encryption, and set startup type back to manual. You always want encryption in case you computer is stolen or you sell it.

  5. The reason why i can't migrate to W10 is **my internet connexion which is not illimited** … so the forced automatic windows update can be very dramatic for me (financialy) … these forced updates are very stupid !

  6. I rather have all the ram I can get. Storage space takes more time to load up. Any game user and video editor would understand. It takes more memory space and time consuming to process. To say you don't need more than 128 GB of ram is not true. In the long run even the 128 GB is not enough. You will notice a speed decline as compared to a ram with 2 terabytes. Good luck.

  7. One thing you kind of touched on between the difference of home Pro and pro workstation.. between home and pro.. in home you can only utilize one physical processor in a multi processor machine. You need pro in order to use both. Learned that the hard way.. some people may have known that, but I found several that didn’t. Hah
